Surge pricing is an artificial penalty on customer loyalty. VDrive uses deterministic, public mathematics: your fare is computed from vehicle classification, base distance, and waypoints. No rainy-day spikes, no post-trip negotiations.

Client applications are never permitted to generate or alter fares. Our Cloud Function computes each trip using this single authoritative formula:

Total Fare = Base Chauffeur Rate + (Distance × Rate/km) + (Metered Waiting × ₹2.5/min) + (Stops × 15%)
1. Base Rate
Covers driver travel to your car and initial 5 km of travel.
2. Distance Tier
Standardized per-km fee depending on vehicle class.
3. Waiting Meter
First 15 mins free. Transparent ₹2.5/min thereafter.
4. Multi-Stop
Flat +15% per waypoint added to the trip.

The ₹40 late cancellation policy.

Cancellations within 3 minutes of booking are always 100% free. If a customer cancels after a chauffeur has accepted the ride and travelled towards their vehicle, a ₹40 late fee is applied. 100% of this fee goes directly to the driver to compensate for their travel and fuel time.
